ZOTAC ZBOX AD04 PLUS Review

Pricing is on the higher side considering the Intel ID80 Plus board which gives a similar performance, except when it comes to casual gaming. A difference of Rs. 4,000 is still quite a lot specially in this price concious segment. In fact we felt that...

Compact Size, On-board Wi-Fi, Decent for casual gaming

At Rs.23,900, the ZOTAC ZBOX AD04 is a good solution, if you're looking for compact PC for basic use. The onboard graphics card s good a bit of light gaming or off-loading Full HD video from the CPU. The bundled remote also makes it a perfect choice...

Perfect for my use

Hooked up in bedroom. Size is perfect. Performs like any desktop PC or laptop using wireless mouse and keyboard. I'm not playing games on it but everything else works great. It handles 1080P but the view distance makes 720P the better choice on a 40"...

Size and everything else. Will likely get another for the Kitchen

None. The only thing I would like is for the remote to be able to turn it on when actually off not just standby. Not really a problem

zbox

One thing to be aware of...If you sit this unit on its side, you may overheat. The unit is setup to cool like a chimney and air won't flow very well when its on its side. win 7 ult x64 320 gig drive 4 gigs ram

great htpc for the price. Quiet unit just runs and runs. I have had no overheating issues at all. My family watches youtube and movies off of my NAS on WiFi thru media player with no problems. Installed since july 2012

Don't really have any. I read every review i could find and armed with that knowledge I had zero issues setting it up

Inexpensive XBMC Box

Inexpensive. Came with free SSD. 6gb/s SATA. Wireless N and Gigabit ethernet. This thing is great. Honestly I know many people say this does not work well for XBMC because the processor is slow but it has been working great for me. The box boots...

Due to the slower processor loading highly graphical skins in XBMC can be slow but I will take the tradeoff. The remote receiver is not an e home receiver and when using a harmony remote should be replaced. I never tried to use the included remote...

Perfect HTPC

Great form factor for HTPC. Quiet enough for the bedroom. Good 1080p video

Loading up the ethernet, wifi drivers can be a pain

Great alittle box

With kill-a-watt, power consumption is about 25 Watts during boot up. 17 Watts on the desktop. That's with a usb powered 2.5" portable HD connected. Running XBMC takes about 25 Watts even when the movie isn't playing. The menus just take so much...

It plays 15.6 Mbps bitrate MKV SBS 3D movie smoothly with 15% CPU usage. 720p RMVB uses 25% of CPU. I use PotPlayer that enables the DXVA hardware acceleration ; Netflix HD plays smoothly with about 75% CPU ; Possibility of upgrading this Sandy bridge...

It gets warm - hot to the touch but no stability issue whatsoever
