Canon PowerShot SD750

Canon's PowerShot SD750 is an excellent camera that, despite its small size, delivers a whopping 3-inch display. In fact, this capable, compact shooter comes with plenty of features, including face detection, and is second only to Canon's own SD1000.

3-inch LCD. Great picture quality and performance. No shutter lag. Face detection technology.

Lacks an optical viewfinder. No MPEG-4 video encoding.

Canon PowerShot SD750 review

Sandwiched between similar 7-megapixel siblings--the PowerShot SD800 IS on one side and the PowerShot SD1000 on the other--the Canon PowerShot SD750 nevertheless manages to distinguish itself as a well-designed, practical option for snapshooters who...

Nicely designed; excellent high-ISO photo quality; relatively fast; above-average movie quality; face detection.

Photos tend to have purple fringing; no optical viewfinder.

The Canon PowerShot SD750 has an attractive design, large LCD, and excellent photo quality for an ultracompact.

Canon PowerShot SD750

The Canon PowerShot SD750 resembles a flat screen TV with its 0.77-inch width and enormous 3-inch LCD screen. The features are otherwise fairly basic: 7.1 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom lens, and Automatic Exposure modes that make the SD750 very easy to...

Read a digital camera review of the Canon PowerShot SD750, featuring a 3-inch LCD on DigitalCameraInfo.com.

Here is another good digital camera from Canon, although this particular mode fell short of the excellent . In terms of specifications, these models differ only in the size of the LCD (3" vs 2.

Excellent LCD visibility, Low image noise until ISO 200, Excellent speed, Good build quality, Nicely saturated colors, Very mild chromatic aberrations, Good image sharpness exccept in corners, Good exposure accuracy

Useless ISO 1600 setting, Very high noise at ISO 800 and up, Very slow flash recharge, Poor touch sensitive dial, Strong corner softness, Bluish cast using automatic white-balance outdoors, Warm cast using automatic white-balance indoors, Crowded...

Great colour, low chromatic aberration, low noise, big screen, compact design

Some fringing and sharpness issues

While the pictures could be a little sharper, the Digital IXUS 75 excelled in all other areas and is a brilliant choice if you're after an all purpose camera to throw in your pocket and forget about.
