Canon PowerShot Elph 135

The Canon PowerShot Elph 135 has an appealing price tag, but for just $10 more you can get an identical model with image stabilization.

Inexpensive. 8x zoom range. Compact.

No optical image stabilization. Images on the noisy side. Wide-angle coverage limited to 28mm. Low-resolution rear display. Video limited to 720p. Lacks Wi-Fi and other advanced features.

Performance and Conclusions The Elph 135 starts and shoots in about 1.4 seconds, focuses in about 0.2-second, and fires off a photo every 1.3 seconds in continuous shooting mode. That's not out of the ordinary for an inexpensive compact. If you're...

Canon Powershot ELPH 135

Canon has announced three new inexpensive ELPH cameras. The most affordable model, the PowerShot ELPH 135 is virtually interchangeable from the $10-more expensive ELPH 140 IS, save for color choices and one feature: the ELPH 135 does not have built-in...

Canon IXUS 145 Review

The Canon IXUS 145 (also known as the PowerShot ELPH 135) is a slim, stylish point and shoot digital compact camera with a 16 megapixel sensor, 8x optical zoom, intelligent Auto mode and Live View control for basic manual over-rides. There's also a...

The Canon IXUS 145 is an easy to use point and shooter, typically ideal for the happy snapper crowd. It does everything for you, even selecting the scene mode that will appropriate the best photographs.

Canon 135 Review

It might not be the company's most affordable camera by a slim margin, but the Canon ELPH 135 is certainly the most affordable ELPH-series camera yet launched. ELPH models usually sport compact bodies with approachable handling and attractive designs;...

Available from February 2014 in black, silver, red and purple, the Canon PowerShot ELPH 135 is priced at around US$120.

Canon IXUS 145 review

No frills compact, perfect for novices and amateurs

Lightweight ; Decent zoom performance ; Excellent image quality

Some functions hidden in menu system ; Not many creative options ; No Wi-Fi or GPS

What the Canon IXUS 145 lacks in features it more than makes up for in great image quality and an easy to use system.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Okay for the dollar, but keep it protected.

-For an affordable camera and small form-factor, this camera would be good for light travel and family events. It's not the most durable camera for outdoor use, but it gets the job done. The photos can look pretty good, if the user knows how to...

-affordable -clear pictures, with moderate zoom for a point-and-shoot. -Focus-assist -battery life -comes with battery charger, battery, and lanyard

-motor is noisy -delay in focusing can get annoying, if you are used to DSLR's -doesn't come with camera case -not great for using in all weather types. Mine seemed to start to freeze (slow down while trying to zoom) internally when using outside in...

Does well with outdoor pictures.

Was disappointed with photo quality of indoor photos.

Had some problems

I did find somewhat of a fix for the blotches using photoshop. Since blotches are the same on every picture, I'll take a blank photo - of either cloudless sky, or a closeup of a white wall or something, so that the only thing in the picture are the...

Fits into the pocket easily. Durable. Starts up quick and has good battery life

This is the second Canon powershot I've owned, and they both developed the same problem. Something happens with the lens where black splotches - probably dust or something - will show up on every picture. If I zoom in, the splotches become dark black,...

Worked Flawlessly

I bought this for a "once in a lifetime" Mexican vacation and it worked perfectly. I used it to photograph the Mayan ruins, Cozumel and many other places. It was worth getting.

Used it in Mexico for a week and never had to charge the battery. The pictures are sharp and the camera is small enough to fit in just about any pocket.

None really. It does not include a lot of accessories, but neither does it say that it does.
