Canon PowerShot A480 review

The key to appreciating the Canon PowerShot A480 is not to expect much. The camera has basic low-end camera specifications and features at an inexpensive price barely more than $100. Generally, you have to spend about twice that to start getting newer...

Simple; cheap; relatively small; AA battery powered.

Chunky, plastic design; leisurely performance.

The Canon PowerShot A480 may be a basic low-priced compact camera, but at least it takes good photos.

Canon PowerShot A480 Point-and-Shoot Review

Good image quality ; Very easy to use

No image stabilization whatsoever ; Very plasticky build

The super-entry-level PowerShot A480 does offer good image quality, but the lack of any stabilization is a major drawback.

Canon PowerShot A480 Review

The Canon PowerShot A480 is the cheapest model in Canon's extensive range of compact cameras, but don't let that put you off what is a well-featured and capable product for the money. The A480 is 25% smaller than its predecessor, the PowerShot A470,...

The Canon Powershot A480 is a refreshingly simple, back-to-basics camera that eschews the recent trend of auto-everything modes in favour of a more holistic approach. This isn't the camera for you if you want smile and blink-detection, face recognition...

Canon PowerShot A480 Review

The Canon PowerShot A480 showed a lot of promise in our First Thoughts.

Compact ; Easy to use ; Excellent image quality

Grainy LCD ; Poor in low light ; No viewfinder

ISO 200 images were also very good, but show a bit less snap. At the ISO 400 setting (and higher) noise is noticeable and there's a perceptible loss of fine detail.

Canon PowerShot A480 Blue Digital Camera Review

Canon PowerShot A480 is the camera that is the most impressive camera Canon has innovated since couple of years in the low-end camera category. It has been created to make the lower class and lower budget people enjoying the quality of Canon and also...

It's a bit chunky with plastic design that makes the tool dull and also if seen performance wise, it is having a leisurely performance

Review: Canon PowerShot A480 digital camera

If you're a tripod-shooter, a steady-handed photographer, or just want a bargain-bin camera with good image quality, the PowerShot A480 is worth a look.

Available in black, blue, red, and silver, the boxy PowerShot A480 measures 3.6 by 2.4 by 1.2 inches and weighs 7 ounces. Its lens, whose focal length ranges from 37mm to 122mm (35mm equivalent), retracts into the body when you turn off the camera. The...
