Casio Exilim EX-Z150 Point-and-Shoot Camera

This cute Casio point-and-shoot camera is easy to use, but suffers from shutter lag and limited focusing abilities.

Huge 3-inch diagonal LCD ; Very easy to use

Slow to focus and shoot ; No zoom while shooting video

The Casio Exilim EX-Z150 was fun to shoot with. Its wide-angle lens and big screen were a joy, but the camera's shutter lag and slow focus were handicaps that made me use a lot more brain power ("Will this be in focus?") than I'd prefer when taking...

Casio Exilim EX-Z150

The slim, 8-megapixel Casio Exilim EX-Z150 point-and-shoot camera aims for the teen-friendly sweet spot of slick looks and functionality. For $200, this little camera comes in a variety of bright candy colors, in addition to black and silver. It also...

The Exilim EX-Z150 is a cute, easy-to-use camera, but it's limited by its slow speed and spotty quality.

The thinnest camera with 4X wide-angle zoom

It's becoming difficult to up the ante in today's crowded market for ultra-compact consumer cameras. Just a few months ago Casio introduced the Exilim EX-Z100 and Z200 to the US market (in January of 2008) -- a pair of ultra-compact 10-megapixel...

Casio Exilim EX-Z150 Review

Casio's latest size- and budget-conscious ultracompact comes in a variety of bright colors with anti-shake, an acceptable zoom range, a wide selection of pre-programmed "Best Shot" settings, and a built-in and easily accessible YouTube capture mode for...

Casio Exilim EX-Z300 Review

Casio's slim, stylish Exilim EX-Z300 serves up a huge number of auto-exposure shooting modes, class-comparable resolution, and a bigger helping of shooting speed than most ultracompacts.

Uses SD cards ; Quick AF and minimal shutter lag ; Fun to use

Way too many Best Shot presets ; Awkward button placement for Make-Up and Movie Modes ; Small, touchy d-pad

On the surface, then, the EX-Z300 looks and sounds like a lot of other cameras in this class, but some unique features and options may help set it apart

Fewer scene modes, No 848 x 480 movies

However, according to the specs included in the press release, there is no high-res wide-format 848 x 480 pixel video mode and you must do with standard 640 x 480 vidclips. Missing seems to be MPEG-4 H.264 video format/compression that reduces MPEG-4...

Casio Exilim EX-Z150 review

For £149, this little camera comes in a variety of bright candy colours, in addition to black and silver. The Casio Exilim EX-Z150 also has an impressive 3in LCD on the back. Mostly metal, this camera feels sturdy, and its matte shine is quite attractive.
