Fujifilm X-M5 Review

Pocktable, light build ; Includes Film Simulation color profile dial ; Simplified interface for vlogging ; Three integrated mics for directional audio ; 10-bit video engine with open gate support ; Broad library of APS-C lenses

Video relies on electronic stabilization ; Viewfinder-free design limits use with telephoto lenses ; No built-in flash

The Fujifilm X-M5 has a lot going for it, including an excellent imaging engine, snappy autofocus, and advanced video features. As long as you can live without an EVF, it's one of the better entry-level mirrorless cameras.

Fujifilm X-M5 review: honey I shrunk the system camera

This new entry-grade compact CSC goes big on features. The Fujifilm X-M5 doubles down on film simulations and doesn't forget video

Distictive stills and excellent colours, with film simulation creativity ; Very capable when it comes to video ; Speedy subject detecting autofocus

No EVF or In-body stabilisation ; Controls are very compact

The X-M5 brings Fujifilm’s smallest mirrorless model bang up to date with everything entry-grade shooters and smartphone converts could want. It loses a few features you’ll find further up the chain, but that doesn’t dent its appeal.
