Kodak Pixpro AZ521

The Kodak Pixpro AZ521 has great specs, but only manages to deliver budget-level image quality at a midrange price.

52x zoom range. Sharp lens at wider angles. 12fps burst shooting mode. In-camera art and color filters.

Very noisy images. Sharpness doesn't hold up at 52x. No external battery charger included. No EVF. Limited shots per burst.

Performance and Conclusions The AZ521 can start and capture an image in about 2 seconds and records a 0.2-second shutter lag. Its burst shooting mode is quite impressive, rattling off a burst of 8 images at 12fps. The only downside is that 8.7 seconds...

Kodak PixPro AZ521 Review

The Kodak PixPro AZ521 is a new super-zoom camera, offering a massive 52x lens with an effective focal length of 24-1248mm. Other standout features of the range-topping Kodak AZ521 include Full 1080p HD video, a 3-inch rear LCD screen, 16.79...

Despite the standard issue mini-DSLR design and value added £250 initial price tag, ‘better than expected’ is our overall verdict on the 16 megapixel, 52x zoom behemoth the AZ521 from Kodak’s new license holder JK Imaging, initially available through...

Kodak PixPro AZ521 review

Can the Kodak AZ521 with whopping 52x optical zoom put Kodak back in the game?

Lots of framing options ; Sharp and colourful results ; Broad focal range

A bit bulky ; Slow auto focus ; No angle-adjustable screen

Kodak Pixpro AZ521 review: Shoot the moon from a bedroom window without breaking the bank

52x zoom bridge camera re-boots the famous logo under new licence holder

Great value for money, zoom range is one of the best in class, plenty of detail and colour in the images, easy to use

No eye-level viewfinder, hotshoe or Raw shooting, no GPS or Wi-Fi connectivity – but in fairness this would add to the price

Imaging performance is better than expected from this reboot of the classic camera brand. Basic in some respects perhaps, but at its price the AZ521 packs a punch.

The Kodak PIXPRO AZ521 is one of the new Astro Zoom cameras from Kodak and has one of the longest reach optical zoom lenses available at 52x, zooming all the way to

Fast continuous shooting, Full 1080p HD video recording, Good optical image stabilisation, Manual controls, HDR mode, Colourful images, Pleasant portraits, Image quality is decent

No viewfinder, Some of the settings are in unusual places, Lots of noise in images at ISO 1600 and 3200

Wonderful Camera

This is by far the beast camera I have ever bought. Still learning all the features and it is very easy to use. My brother had fun seeing how far you could see with the zoom. It is awesome!

Good so far

I like the camera so far, I really like the zoom and other features. But I haven't had a chance to really test it. But the aid did say it was Wi-Fi capable, but no where in the instructions is there anything about Wi-Fi.

lot of camera for $

much to learn, but for general pic taking this is awesome camera. dynamite comes in small packages. Auto setting makes it easy. Years ago I used the 35mm Nikon N3000N, and this camera does every thing that camera did at 20% of the price back then.
