Kodak EasyShare C533 review

The Kodak EasyShare C533 is a basic budget camera that doesn't pretend to be otherwise. This 5-megapixel point-and-shoot produces decent photos and responds quickly, but its flimsy-feeling build quality, tiny 1.8-inch LCD screen, and minimalist feature...

Relatively inexpensive; runs on AA batteries.

Feels flimsy; few manual options; crippled movie mode; significant fringing in photos.

The Kodak EasyShare C533 takes decent photos, but its build quality and minimalist feature set make it strictly a bargain camera.

Kodak EasyShare C533

This compact camera does its job, but it doesn't dazzle.

Good Price. Easy to use. Takes reasonably good photos.

Boxy design. Overblown highlights in daylight shots. Excessive shutter lag.

Kodak EasyShare C review

Kodak EasyShare C

Competitively priced; capable of producing relatively high-quality photos; easy-to-navigate onscreen menus; integration with EasyShare software and dock system.

Small LCD; limited manual controls; out-of-alignment optical viewfinder; jerky video captures.

Though it's far from perfect, the inexpensive Kodak EasyShare C330 is easy to use and produces relatively high-quality photos.

Kodak EasyShare C533

Kodak's EasyShare C533 competes directly with HP's Photosmart M437 on price, but adds a number of features not found on the HP. But what about performance?

Consumer review (newegg.com)

a very good buy

I have owned many digital cameras over the past 8 or 9 years... but this camera is about the best value for the money that I have ever bought ; This is also a very easy camera to use.... even beginners should have no trouble learning the controls

Battery life is a little short when you are taking pictures with the flash... but that is to be expected with any camera that only uses two AA batteries ; Just carry a spare set of NiMH rechargeable batteries
