An ultra-zoom 10Mp camera.

Big 15x optical zoom with 28mm wide-angle focal length, sharp images, very minimal shutter lag

Colour balance quite off, very sluggish start-up, controls a little fiddly

Kodak's Easyshare Z1015 IS is a fine ultra-zoom camera for users looking to upgrade. It has some image quality issues and takes a while to start up but its overall performance was pleasing.

Nice camera, bad movie format

It's an outstanding camera, great if you're a mac user (which i am not and never will be) however, I wouldn't buy this camera - based on the sole fact of the .mov file format requirement.

It's a very good camera so far. It takes outstanding photos and movies, can capture motion shots very well, and is (mostly) user freindly.

The camera saves the videos into .mov files - which is apple's proprietary quicktime movie format. I tried to use windows movie maker to upload and edit videos, but it did not work due to that fact. I don't think I should have to buy a program to edit...

With the new firmware, my biggest complaint about the camera has been addressed. Don't know why they didn't see this coming, but I'm glad they fixed it.

Great camera for those looking for flexibility of choosing between point-and-shoot, moderate customization, and manual selection of settings. I mostly let the camera pick its own settings, but it's great to have the options of setting things myself

Horrible delay after taking three pictures in a row, due to Kodak making the bad decision of processing all photos taken in automatic mode. THAT IS, only if you still have firmware 1.00 ; they've made the processing optional in the new firmware 1.03...
