Nikon Coolpix P330

The Nikon Coolpix P330 pocket camera is capable of producing some truly outstanding images, but may be too slow for some shooters.

Very small for a 1/1.7-inch sensor camera. Sharp lens. Impressive images through ISO 1600. Raw shooting support. Wide aperture when zoomed out. Built-in GPS.

Sluggish performance. Extreme distortion at widest angle in Raw mode. In-camera battery charging. Finicky power button.

There's a built-in GPS, which isn't a common feature in digital cameras. It automatically adds your location to photos, so you can view them on a map in software like Lightroom, iPhoto, and Picasa. The GPS requires about 90 seconds to lock onto a...

Nikon Coolpix P330 Hands-on Preview

Nikon is a relative newcomer to the small, high-quality compact camera market. Although for the past couple of years the Coolpix P300 and P310 offered excellent build quality and a similar user experience to competitive models like the Canon PowerShot...

Nikon Coolpix P330 Review

The Coolpix P330 is built to perform - it's packed with features for the serious photography who doesn't want to lug a dSLR. With RAW mode shooting, a fast full-resolution burst mode, and high overall image quality as well as good low-light...

High image quality ; Fast burst modes ; Powerful built-in flash ; Sturdy body ; Can shoot in RAW mode ; Lots of features ; Good low-light performance ; Lens-shift vibration reduction ; Built-in GPS ; Records high-quality 1080p HD video

Auto focus isn't always exact ; Some barrel distortion at edges at wide angle ; Modest zoom magnification ; Flash doesn't work in burst mode

Nikon Coolpix P330 Review

The Nikon Coolpix P330 is a new pocket compact camera designed to appeal to the keen enthusiast photographer. The Nikon P330 has a 1/1.7-inch back-illuminated 12-megapixel CMOS sensor, 5x optical zoom with a focal range of 24-120mm, maximum apertures...

At first glance the new Nikon Coolpix P330 seems virtually identical to its predecessor, the P310, but 2013's version adds two features that serious photographers have been crying out for - better JPEG image quality at higher ISOs and, finally, RAW...

Nikon Coolpix P330

Nikon's answer to the Powershot-S falls short of greatness.

Canon can relax: their Powershot S has nothing to worry from Nikon's P330. Despite its promising specs, the P330 just doesn't come together in a way that makes a lot of sense. In other reviews, we've made a big deal of the way smartphones have all but...

Nikon Coolpix P330

On paper the Nikon Coolpix P330 is an impressive pocket camera. It's got a 12-megapixel image sensor with a 1/1.7-inch design, larger in surface area than those in other compacts in this price range. Unfortunately, the P330 is a noticeably slow...

Nikon Coolpix P330 Review

A biggish 15mm CMOS sensor, moderate pixel count plus a fast f1.8 lens leads to a surprisingly high performance in such a moderately-priced camera.

Can the Nikon P330 match the LF1 and rivals in the premium compact market?

Impressive noise control at higher ISO settings, Good value comapred to rivals, Good LCD screen, Small aperture at tele end of the focal range

Slow shot-to-shot speed in Raw capture, No built-in Wi-Fi
