Olympus AIR A01

The Olympus AIR A01 is a small mirrorless camera that omits an LCD and includes a clip to attach to a smartphone, but there are some inherent drawbacks to its design.

Small. Relatively inexpensive. Interchangeable lenses. 10fps burst capability. Supports Raw and JPG image capture.

Questionable ergonomics. Communication lag between camera and phone. Memory card is a pain to access. Video limited to 1080p30.

Conclusions The Olympus AIR A01 is another attempt to create a digital camera that works in conjunction with a smartphone to achieve its fullest potential. But, like other devices of this type, including the similar Sony QX series and the tiny DxO One...

Olympus Air A01 review

A glimpse of the future for photography

Stunning image quality ; Clever smartphone controls ; Affordable MFT camera

Connectivity issues ; No in-body image stabilization ; Middling low-light capability

Don't judge the Olympus Air by its small size, this pocket-sized lens camera packs all the image quality and versatility of a traditional Micro Four Thirds camera.
