Image quality is good and the one-button video capture is a definite advantage considering the places and activities where the camera may see use. Shutter lag and AF acquisition times could be better but are not fatal. Battery life may be problematic...

I like the fact Olympus has added the current settings for main features down the side of the LCD screen. This means you can see instantly what the main settings are. It also makes them very easy to change. There is also a built in manual.

Waterproof (Although less than a year from purchase with less than a dozen uses under its belt it water logged) ; Shock Proof ; Cool functions

Not Waterproof. Took this camera to Turks and Caicos. Worked for three days in the water. We followed the directions perfectly (bathing the camera in fresh water etc). At the end of the third day, the lcd began to show strange white flashy areas on it....
