Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3 review

Panasonic continues to excel at putting flexible lenses in compact bodies. The Lumix DMC-ZR3, for example, has a wide-angle 25mm-equivalent lens and an 8x optical zoom in a chassis that's only an inch thick. It's the same lens the company uses on its...

Simple to use; nice design; very good features.

AVCHD Lite video and 14-megapixel resolution seem unnecessary; no controls for aperture or shutter speed.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3 has a flexible lens in a compact body and produces reliably good automatic-shooting results.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10K review

When Panasonic introduced its first digital SLR, the Lumix DMC-L1 , a lot of people had high hopes, which were subsequently dashed. Now, Panasonic has put out the 10-megapixel Lumix DMC-L10. If the L1 was Panasonic dipping its toes in the SLR pool,...

The L10 has a nice body design, and its articulated LCD makes live-view shooting much more useful.

The L10 is only available as a kit, has trouble focusing in very low light, tops out at ISO 1,600, and its live mode has limited functionality when using most lenses

A nice body design and good image quality make the DMC-L10 an enticing entry-level SLR, but a pricey kit lens makes this kit too expensive.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1K review:

Kodak EasyShare V610

10X optical zoom; optical image stabilization; cool flip-book movie mode.

No manual exposure controls; lots of noise in pictures taken at middle and high ISO levels; auto white balance produces warm shots under tungsten lighting.

With a big 10X zoom lens and optical image stabilization, Panasonic's DMC-TZ1 looks enticing, but image-quality issues keep it from making the grade.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30K review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30K

Long zoom with effective image stabilization; manual focus ring; broad feature set with extras; solid performance.

Image noise; no raw-processing software provided; oddly placed rear dial.

Though we have some caveats about image quality, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 provides stiff competition to other megazooms.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2S review:

Optical image stabilization; solid image quality; versatile burst modes; simple operation.

Few manual settings; low-res movie mode.

Image stabilization, a 6X zoom lens, and solid image quality make this a versatile snapshot camera.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS35K

The little brother to the Lumix DMC-ZS40, the new Lumix DMC-ZS35 is also a compact camera that focuses on keeping size to a minimum; while keeping zoom to a maximum. This unit is not quite as robust as the ZS40, yet still offers an impressive 20x...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX3 Review

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX3 (also known as the DMC-ZR3) is a 14 megapixel compact digital featuring an 8x optically-stabilised zoom lens with a focal range of 25-200mm in a body measuring just 2.6cms thick. The new Intelligent Resolution function can...

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX3 remains an excellent compact camera, but it's much less of an enjoyable surprise than its predecessor, with little really new on offer except for videographers. Still bridging the size gap between the smaller FX and larger...
