Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 (Unlocked)

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 is a peerless smartphone when it comes to imaging, but photographers willing to carry two devices can find a better pocket camera for less money.

Best smartphone camera available. Runs stock Android 4.4. 1-inch image sensor with 28mm f/2.8 prime lens. Captures JPG and Raw images. Lens control ring. 4G LTE connectivity on AT&T and T-Mobile. Android Lollipop upgrade available.

Expensive. 4K video limited to 15fps. Weak LED flash. Thicker than most smartphones. Screen could be brighter. So-so call quality.

Conclusions If you're an Android fan, a photo enthusiast, and want to have the best possible smartphone camera in your pocket at all times, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 is the obvious choice. While its CPU performance isn't quite up to snuff with the...

Panasonic Lumix CM1 review: The camera phone for the truly committed mobile photographer

The Panasonic Lumix CM1 aims to be the pinnacle of smartphone photography thanks to its huge image sensor, raw image shooting and full manual controls.

The Panasonic Lumix CM1 has a huge image sensor that helps it capture stunning photos, it shoots images in raw format, it's well-built, looks great and has the internal specs to rival most top-end smartphones.

It's far from cheap, it's running an older version of Android, it's quite bulky for everyday use and its raw format images can't be used with most Android apps.

While the Panasonic Lumix CM1 is undeniably pricey and bulky, its wealth of photography kit helps it achieve image quality that's unrivalled in the smartphone world. If you love the idea of always having a great camera to hand but don't want to be...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 Smartcam Review

Online premium camera. Panasonic's Lumix DMC-CM1 is actually more of a camera with integrated smartphone since the device looks like a compact camera just from its outsides. However, it also has plenty of mobile power with a Full HD screen, LTE, and a...

Superb camera, Swift SoC, LTE with wide frequency coverage, Expandable storage, Decent build, Good connectivity, Full HD screen

that could be a bit brighter, Temperature development, Battery life, Ultra HD videos only with 15 fps

Panasonic's Lumix DMC-CM1 has a very good camera that is rounded off well with the integrated smartphone. The Full HD screen could surely be a bit brighter but makes a good impression otherwise. High-speed LTE and other, modern transmission standards...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 Review

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 is a 20 megapixel smartphone with a fixed 28mm f/2.8 Leica lens. Running Android 4.4.4 with Wi-Fi, NFC and 3G/4G connectivity, the Panasonic CM1 camera/smartphone features a large 1-inch MOS sensor and is capable of 4K video...

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 is a brave and largely successful attempt to bring together the best features of a smartphone and a camera into one unified device, but a few niggles, late introduction to the market and the high price-tag may consign it to...

Panasonic CM1 Review

First announced at Photokina 2014 for the French, German and then UK markets only, the Panasonic CM1 -- a rather ambitious combination of smartphone and dedicated, large-sensor compact digital camera -- is making its way to the US market later this...

Now, for me personally, I've always enjoyed the more traditional shooting experience with a camera that offers a more substantial grip, a viewfinder of some kind, the versatility of interchangeable lenses and, perhaps most importantly, as large a...

Panasonic CM1 Review: Finally, a High End Camera Inside a Smartphone

Most people are perfectly satisfied with the camera in their smartphone. But to photographers and hobbyists, even the latest iPhone doesn't come close to emulating the capability of a full-fledged camera. Panasonic's CM1 is the answer.

Objects of Desire: Panasonic Lumix CM1

The CM1 is an Android-based smartphone with a 1-inch, 20-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 28mm f/2.8 Zeiss lens.

. Like Samsung’s Galaxy Camera, the CM1 fuses an Android smartphone with some serious photography parts. How serious? How about a 1-inch, 20-megapixel CMOS sensor (the same one found in the company’s FZ1000 camera) and a huge upgrade from the tiny...
