Lumix DMC-FH3

For many years now, the trend on this website has been to review the more expensive, cutting-edge cameras. Not only do those cameras capture my interest -- they are what the majority of DCRP readers are curious about, as well. Recently, I was reminded...

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH3 digital camera

This no-frills Panasonic camera takes reasonable photos and can capture 720p high-definition movies

Consistently good image stabilisation, good photo quality at minimum zoom level

Slow zoom, excessive noise above ISO 400, poor dynamic range with clipped highlights in bright conditions

Panasonic's LUMIX DMC-FH3 is a good option if you're after a no-frills digital camera for a novice photographer. The lack of a manual mode is made up for by a wide variety of scene modes. While its lens is slow to operate, the pictures captured by the...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH3

28mm wide-angle lens ; Heaps of features for the price ; Wide aperture optics (f/2.8)

No HDMI output ; No optical zoom while filming ; Very average video quality with flaring

Panasonic's FH3 is a perfectly functional compact camera at a great price. Experienced photographers will find some issues with image quality, but most users will enjoy the images produced by this camera.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH3 review

The lack of a manual mode is made up for by a wide variety of scene modes. While its lens is slow to operate, the pictures captured by the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH3 have reasonable levels of detail in optimal lighting conditions.

The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH3 is well suited to the novice photographer. It is easy to use once a little attention has been paid to the button layout. The pictures it captures are of good quality, especially in optimal lighting conditions. It doesn't...

Panasonic DMC FS11

This is a mid priced pocket camera. Picture quality falls short of the best digital cameras in this category. Ease of use is very good and I like the range of features on offer as well. Despite the picture quality issues the camera is reasonably priced.

Ease of use - High Definition movies

Pictures could be sharper

Panasonic FS11 review

Panasonic's burgeoning FS series sees a new addition. Can it carry the mantle of its predecessors?

Sleek design, a pleasure to use

Noise at high ISO settings, body feels a bit plasticky
