Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS25 Preview

The Lumix DMC-ZS25 looks almost identical to its brother the DMC-ZS30, with two main differences between them; the ZS25 offers a 16.1-megapixel HS MOS image sensor versus the ZS30's 18.1-megapixel sensor, and the ZS25 lacks built-in Wi-Fi connectivity....

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ35 Review

The Lumix DMC-TZ35 (also known as the DMC-ZS25 in the USA) is Panasonic's latest travel-zoom camera, featuring a 20x 24-480mm lens, 16.1 megapixel high-sensitivity MOS sensor, 50i Full HD movies, and fast burst shooting at 10fps. The Intelligent...

The Lumix DMC-TZ35 / ZS25 is a new travel-zoom camera from Panasonic that offers a slight improvement on on last year's TZ25 / ZS15 model thanks largely to the bigger zoom, higher-resolution 16 megapixel sensor and improved hand-grip. There is one key...

Panasonic Lumix TZ35 / ZS25

The most important specification of any super-zoom is of course the optical range, and this is where the TZ35 / ZS25 and the flagship TZ40 / ZS30 are identical, both sharing the same 20x range that's equivalent to 24-480mm. Panasonic does however quote...

Broad 20x optical zoom covers every situation in slim body ; 1080i video with zooming and continuous AF ; Miniature mode can be easily applied to 1080i movies ; Panorama mode can capture 360 degree arcs

Modest continuous shooting, only 5fps at max resolution ; No built-in GPS or Wifi ; No touchscreen ; Last year's TZ30 / ZS20 out-features it, so compare prices

For many years Panasonic has offered two different versions of its travel zoom: a feature-packed flagship model and a simpler version which skips the bells and whistles to come in at a lower price point. It's a clever approach which allows you to...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ35 Review

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ35 is a pocketable zoom camera, it has a 20x optical zoom lens and 16.1 megapixel MOS sensor, creative panorama, full HD video recording, HDR shooting, power optical image stabilisation, as well as a new Venus image processing...

Excellent image quality, 20x zoom in a compact body, 3cm close focusing allows for excellent macros, Full 1080p HD video recording, Fast continuous shooting, HDR & panorama modes

No RAW shooting, No dial for adjusting shutter / aperture, No built-in GPS, Smudging in images at ISO 800 and above, Screen resolution could be better

Consumer review (newegg.com)

I would not buy again

When it works, its a good camera. We have another. I just would not by a refurbished one.

This was a refurbished camera and did not last one year before developing a spot on what I think is one of the inner lens. Anyway, you get a spot on all of your pictures. In my view, I should have lasted longer. I would not buy again.

Failed 2 weeks after warranty

I've had to resort to using my Kodak bridge camera (Kodak Z990 Max) again. I had purchased the Lumix DMC-ZS25S to replace the Kodak as the Lumix is smaller. Now, I am leaning towards just using my cellphone camera. Very disappointed with Panasonic...

Took great photos while it worked.

Failed two weeks after warranty expired. Appears that the sensor failed. Starting getting blurry round spot in center of photos. Took a two week trip in September of 2014 to the Rocky Mountains. Noticed on looking at the 3,000 photos I took that...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Follow-up

After 5 months the LCD screen (remember, this model has no viewfinder!) quit. Black. I have contacted the seller, and I will adjust my review accordingly to how they handle this; after all, its a great camera when it works.

Great, easy to handle camera with quality lens.

Short-lived

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Nice little camera

Quality point-and-shoot. Miss RAW. Get a screen protector for the big viewfinder screen regardless; it is big and exposed. Good for use by careful person

Zeiss lens, good sharpness in good light. Versatile. Nice panorama function.

Deteriorates in low light. Battery life. Dust prone due to lens cover mechanism.
