How does a forgotten name make a big return? Introduce a completely new camera paradigm.

Very low price, innovative design; Accepts Micro Four Thirds lenses via adapter

Cheap build; Seems to lack horsepower for Android 4.1

It may not be a great camera, or even a good one—only time and testing will tell—but we love the innovative spirit with which Polaroid and Sakar have approached the iM1836.

Polaroid's iM1836 isthe first interchangeable lens camera to run Google's Android operating sytem, and we've been trying it out at CES

Expected to launch some time before the summer, the iM1836 will cost $399 in the US. It's planned to reach Europe some point after that, but we won't know about UK pricing or availability.
