Toshiba PDR-3300 DIG CAM 3.2mp2.8xopt 2.2digi Zoom AVI Movie SD USB Camera

WHAT'S HOT: At $349, Toshiba's PDR-3300 is priced inexpensively, but it offers the flexibility and control of a higher-end model. It has aperture- and shutter-priority modes, as well as full manual. It also provides many other features you'd expect to...

Toshiba includes ACDSee image-management software with the PDR-3300. The program lets you do some minor image editing, such as adjusting your photos' brightness, sharpness, and color saturation, as well as store and organize your photo collection and...

Those looking for more flexibility and control in an inexpensive camera will appreciate the PDR-3300, but note that the batteries run out quickly.

Toshiba PDR-3300

The Toshiba PDR-3300 and PDR-3310 share similar specs, but the likeness ends there. The $500 PDR-3310 is a stylish, metal-clad, ultracompact camera, similar to Canon's Digital Elph line. Toshiba calls the larger PDR-3300 a "step up" (apparently in...

Toshiba PDR-3300 Digital Camera Review

Never judge a book by its cover. That old adage rings true in the case of this little (well, not that little) digital camera. Packing a decent 3.2 MegaPixel CCD, this so-called entry level camera has enough advanced features to impress even the more...

Well, it would seem that when the folks at Toshiba conceptualized the creation of their own digital cameras, they thought precisely the same thing. And it appears that the decision was made to stick to what they're good at, the electronics, and let...

Toshiba PDR-3300 Review

Gorgeous 3-megapixel prints for $349, Exemplary mix of automatic and manual options; remote control for group shots

Nit-picking: No uncompressed/TIFF image mode, manual white balance, or sound in video clips; burst mode limited to three shots, Skimpy 8MB memory card and nonrechargeable batteries included

Last month, we gave a five-star review to Olympus' comparable 3-megapixel D-550 Zoom , noting its lack of automatic exposure bracketing but saying we forgave it due to the camera's low price. The PDR-3300 has exposure bracketing and a remote control,...

Toshiba PDR-3300

When you're talking about digital cameras to someone, the name Toshiba rarely comes up. That's unfortunate, because Toshiba's digital cameras are some of the best out there, are are excellent values too

Great value - 3X zoom, 3 Megapixel for under $350 ; Full manual controls, save white balance ; Very nice playback mode ; Remote control and camera case included ; Supports external lenses/filters ; Histogram in record and playback modes ; Good job at...

No AF illuminator ; Fussy auto-focus ; Blue cast in a few images. Fluke ; No sound in movie mode ; Bundle could be better (no rechargeable batteries, small SD memory card included) ; Cheap looking body; must flip two switches to turn on camera

Things were sort of "hit or miss" with the Toshiba PDR-3300. The hits are the great price for a 3MP zoom camera, the full manual controls, and nice playback mode. The misses are the so-so bundle, fussy autofocus, and the blue cast I noticed in some...
