D-Link DPG-1200 PC-on-TV Review

Easy way to get your PC displayed on your TV, No video / audio codec hassles, Relatively inexpensive, No fan, no noise

Picture breakup with full-screen video, Windows only, Doesn't display DirectX apps

Simply Awful

I will never purchase another D-Link product. May the rest in peace.

Strong, sturdy packaging box. Pretty colors

Extremely slow playback with Internet wireless cable connection. Watching a video (if you can actually get it to play), is very choppy and at time freezes up. The remote control is very unresponsive and useless. The TV Screen resolution is very poor...

This thing sucks

One could easily buy a cheap computer for less money and get full HD and 5.1 surround.

Was easy to set up wired and wireless.

Bad choppy video. I have a gigabit network using a dlink router and it was still choppy. Sometimes sound not synced with picture.

Does what it's advertised to do

This product works better with ethernet wire than wireless but is still OK if you have a good signal. In spite of the poor support, I would recommend this if you need it to do what it is designed to do. It works.

Works as advertised. Does the job it is intended for. Once you get used to the new interface, it's ok

A little peculiar on start-up sequence ; D-Link support is not very good. Off-shore and difficult to communicate with. The problem is not the product but the support at D-Link

Don't waste your money

It basically amounts to an expensive music player.

The color scheme matched my router.

The wireless is a pain to setup if you have any sort of security running, WPA limited to 23 chars.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Not a great solution

Setup was easy, and the system is fairly intuitive.

The quality of the picture displayed on the TV was less than optimal, even when displaying a static image (no motion, low bandwidth...). There was flickering on the screen that I couldn't resolve, and image quality was just not as good as other...
