Good

A great product - has provided 5 years (and still going) of admirable performance. Given that it is ~= 5 years old, it still ranks highly for the functions and features it provides.

Follows the KISS principle and implements essential functionality very well. Fast "dub" from HDD to DVD; press one button to record / one button to stop; press one button several times to increase recording time; easy to set timer recordings (has...

The internal DVD writer failed after about 4 years. Had it replaced - and it is starting to fail again after about 1 year.

Bad

For such a pricey piece of equipment, i am very disappointed with the quality and performance. I wouldn't purchase this again, given the choice.

Looks good with good specifications

Stops recording after 4:00 minutes and freezes the whole machine. Also fails to read many of my DVDs and when it does read a disc, it ends up skipping and jumping upto 10 sec segments.
