We purchased this to replace a decrepit but still functional VCR. Although this unit was a refurb, it looked new and functioned out of the box. It has plenty of features and does the job.

Has so many functons and it take time to learn what you need.

Cannot play and record at the same time on DVR like some units can.

Came adequately packed in bubble wrap- in like new condition- Complete manual (Not stapled or photocopied) and a Quick start guide I hooked mine up with a coax splitter with a separate cable to the TV and one to the 537 then HDMI for the TV input....

A little tedious to program but easy enough!,
