Pioneer BDP-LX70

A very well designed Blu-ray player, the BDP-LX70's biggest drawback is its price. If you're willing to pay the extra for its media streaming capabilities, then it's well-worth the investment.

Pioneer DVR-540

Pioneer only added a Freeview tuner to its recorder range in 2006 but it has made a good job of this one, integrating it alongside the GuidePlus option, so like the Philips, you can also control separate digiboxes. Moreover, Pioneer's recorders have...

The Pioneer BDP-430 came so close to being a great player to recommend. It handles Netflix very well and is certainly quicker than past Blu-ray players, however, the lack of internal WiFi, video options for color space control, noise reduction, and,...

This player only plays DVDs from Japan. It IS what I wanted but you did not know that and questioned me regarding that fact. Wonderful. Made sure my purchase was appropriate. Thanks

I sent this product back because it didn't play multi-zone. Therefore, I cannot rate it other than to say I was disappointed in the advertising.

Pioneer BDP-LX54

The Pioneer BDP-LX54 is part of Pioneer's luxury range, and it looks the part. It's pricier than the BDP-430, but if styling and flashy lights are your thing the BDP-LX54 is a definite pleaser.

Pioneer DV-430V - All Multi Region Code Free 1080p DVD Player with HDMI 1080p...

4 months later, it works great, great clarity, although the remote is a bit weird having the Menu button and Enter button in odd places. Played DVDs from US and Europe - no problem. Will recommend this DVD player

It's been working fine for a year now... Bought it as a gift for a friend so they could watch BBC stuff without waiting months. It's been chugging along playing whatever they put into it. It was much cheaper a year ago for some reason...

We bought this to replace an existing multi-regional player that was on its last legs. My wife is from Europe and has a large collection of region 2 DVDs. So far, it has been able to play all of our region 1 and 2 discs without any issues.

While it isn't the same as watching Blu-ray or HD DVDs in true high definition, using an upscaling DVD player such as the Pioneer DV-490V-S is the next best thing. Hook the unit up via HDMI to a display with a native resolution of 720p or 1080i and you...
