One of the Best in this price range

I was very impressed with this player. Better than the average cheapo DVD in this price bracket. A good buy.

I am basing my review on the cost of this unit. For a unit under $xx you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. I got mine for under $xx! Very flexible set-up menu, 5.1 output connection, and plays +-RW DVD's better than most. A good buy

Satisfactory as a low-cost DivX player

All my files were burned on TDK DVD-R (16X) discs by a Pioneer DVR-109 burner. The player had trouble playing the first 2 discs I burned at 16X. I then tried 8X and 4X. With 8X, most played fine (one or two skips in a movie length file). I now burn...

I've been using this player for over 2 months and I am quite satisfied with the purchase. It plays 99% of my video files (the majority are DivX, some XviD and MPG). For the price, it is a very affordable DivX player

It will not play DVD-R burned at 16X. The remote control, while functional, has very limited operational range/angle

Dies while playing avi's

it's not epensive

Decent priced dvd player loaded with features

Very nice and detailed LED display at the front panel. It displays chapter, title, time counter, and type of media the player is playing. You only find these features on the more expensive models

Doesn't play and freeze on Memorex -R and CQ-R medias. Probably due to decfective discs

LASONiC DVD-7050 5.1CH DivX DVD Player With Progressive Scan

Nice small package, plays the older 4.12 DIVX not the 5.1 but it is great! The optical and RF output make Dolby 5.1 hookup a snap. Buy it!

Pretty good player for that money. Plays almost all avi files, refused to play one mpeg. Played one avi file with inversed colors (green insead of pink and s.o.). 5.1 option works fine, loads files pretty quickly. Good value for xx$.

The best inexpensive DVD player available.

Lasonic is a US company, which means what, I don't know. But the reviews already posted gave me enough courage to buy it instead of the P------, which was my next choice for more money and less capability. I use the Lasonic with a new 20" Sony TV and...

LASONiC DVD-7050 5.1CH DivX DVD Player With Progressive Scan

Great product. I ordered one of these and a slightly more expensive Phillips model - then I ordered another one of these. I liked this one better, first because it was cheaper, and second because (unlike model X, or P in this case) it has a decent set...
