LG DP392G

Portable DVD player or photo frame, you decide

Great screen, good file support, a surprisingly competent compromise between DVD player and photo frame

Bulky, DVD section too easy to access accidentally

The DP392G is a great DVD player, with the additional advantage of functioning as a photo frame when needed. It has USB and memory card inputs, as well as a decent amount of picture adjustability. Quite frankly there's not much it does wrong.

The LG DP392G is a great portable DVD player with features to keep almost anyone happy, if only it had enough battery for long plane journeys.

Design ; Picture quality is stunning ; Plenty of features to keep you occupied on long journeys

Sound is miles too quiet from the built-in speakers ; A little too low via headphones ; Battery can't be replaced by user ; Reflective screen

Still, this little player shows others how it's done, and has plenty to offer as long as you accept its limitations. If LG removed the reflective screen covering, and made the battery a little more capacious we'd have given it an even better score.

Further to my below message the AV cable is rubbish (does not send clear image to TV)...besides that very good as per below

Almost Everything

You can only change the volume limit manually and I wish this was on the remote control. Also AV cable could be better or atleast work

Very good machine - bought it yesterday for $155 (factory second - only some marks on the back which you cannot see only if you search for them - but hey $245 of rrp). The speakers are faint, but I connected to Blueant Bluesonic Speakers and worked...

The screen craps all over other players I've seen. It really is worth paying that bit more to get the hi res screen. Rather have that than longer battery life!

Great hi res screen ; Versatile file types, usb, card slot

Battery life is shorter than some other players ; Speakers are awful - but good sound through headphones

A godsend with kids on long road or plane trips!

We purchased this more as a digital photo frame but loved that it doubled as a portable DVD/CD player. It gets used on a daily basis as a photo frame but packed up for our son along with a handful of dvds and some headphones when we go on long trips.

Looks sleek and modern. It is very easy to use and comes with a remote control (not that we've really needed it). It is a good size and packs up nicely in its own black case with room for a few dvds in the case also. The picture quality is good and is...

We did actually have a problem with it early on when lines appeared across the screen but the unit was promptly replaced and we haven't had an issue with it since (had it approx 2.5yrs). It was a little pricey, approx $300 from memory. Couldn't get the...
