TV alternative

I've had my player for a little more than a year now, and I use it constantly. Other than the memory slot not ejecting cards, everything else performs just as well as it did when I first got it. There has not even been any noticeable drop in battery...

This unit will play almost anything. DVDs, CDs, memory cards and flash drives. It also recognizes most formats. I use it to catch up on my favorite shows (I work nights) while playing on the computer and take it anywhere with me.

I have to agree with the cons of other reviewers. The controls on screen cannot be seen in the dark, there's no was to bookmark anything other than a retail DVD, no time/length or battery life indicator, and the memory card slot only auto eject only...

Love it and hate it...

O.K. i'm in the same situation as the above reviewer. My unit went thru some banging around every time the car mount kit would brake. Finally it doesn't read any DVD's and i had to RMA it. Problem is, the unit is only available in the end of August....

Great Picture Quality. Overall design. Decent Sound

Power button should be located on the side or on the LCD itself. Car mount kit sucks, i'm on my 3rd replacement, DVD player is to heavy for the plastic car mount. Remote should have the Power button on it.

If it works ...

Philips customer service was very friendly, no waiting line ... wow.

Nevertheless, I didn't buy it at newegg, daughter bought it ... I had to pay, only ; that's why

How to open top is absurd, u might break your fingers. Player is broken after 9 day usage. Started with no action after pushing power button. After 1/2 day on pwr supply batt. should not have trouble. Kept on pwr supply over night ... pushing pwr...
