Nice features, when they work

 

I really enjoyed this recorder when it worked. It eventually frustrated me so bad I took it back to the store as a defective unit.

Nice feature set

The player was hard to get VCR tapes into. It wouldn't play them half of the time without ejecting and re-inserting. It was always HOT! The DVD record funtion usually included the process of unplugging the unit before it would return to normal...

Don't like it.

 

We keep our DVD player out in the open, so it did not get hot due to lack of air movement around the unit.

It has a full set of features ; TV Tuner, Copy VHS to DVD and vise-versa. Nice front panel connections

It changes channels very slowly ; It stopped working and smelled of hot electronics. Touched the right side of the unit and it was very hot

beware of repair

 

Getting the RCA vcr/dvd recorder combo unit repaired is a nightmare. Local repair guys would not touch it. Once shipped off to Albany, NY it is re-routed to a repair company in Canada. Customer service calls are re-routed to India. I know because I...
