Terrible

 

This is the last Samsung product I will ever buy. The RMA process was very slow.

Its light

Its completely unreliable. First one kept locking up after about a month. Locking solid so you actually have to cycle the power. RMA process with Samsung was painful. Received a new player. After about 6 months it went south. Video playback is all garbled

great product

 

great product for the price. No it's not blue ray, but for under $100 bucks you get a superior upconverting DVD. I use this mostly for the kids DVDs, so I was really impressed when I put in finding nemo. can't go wrong

HIGH DEF?

 

Now I only paid 28.21 for it Newegg game me a 25.00 credit (SSSSHHHHHHH)! and it is a refurbished one so I paid 28.21 for it shipped. Now if I had to pay regular price it would go right back no second thought!! I think it is a poorly made samsung...

First off the person under me here says it is as good as his blue ray. Trust me people he must have gotten his blue ray from someone who through it away or from the cracker jacks box! This and any upconversion is not even as good as my HD player ok!!!!...

Mine locked up on me like the other persons here that mentioned it. Although I found it is because I had the picture expanded it stopped and I put it back to standard 16:9 ratio and it played again as if the processor is not fast enough to write! When...

WORKS PERFECT!!!

 

Not sure what the other reviews got, but mine works just fine. If it ever fails in a year I will have Samsung fix it. This was free with my purchase of a Samsung 50" LED DLP. So for that price it is perfect.

Works! Plays my old DVDs like Blue Ray quality ; I would have to say when contect through the HDMI port it has a wonderful picture on my 50" LED DLP

Good DVD for Samsung TVs

 

It has every output you could possibly need on the back.

The AnyNet+ that Samsung uses via HDMI 1.3 CEC makes this average DVD player a champion. If you have a Samsung TV with HDMI and AnyNet you need to buy this DVD player. The automation with AnyNet makes it a magical DVD player

Good DVD Player

 

The component cables that come with it aren't that great, definitely get another set.

Good picture on a 720p LCD projector, no problems upscaling as far as I can tell. I use component cables and toslink audio and the sound is crisp. Can read most DivX/Xvid discs I throw at it, although every so often it can read one or needs to be...

None that I've encountered so far, besides that it won't upscale to 1080i easily. 720p is fine by me though, so if you're not shooting for 1080 I would recommend this player highly

Junk ...stay away

 

I RMA'd it with Samsung, it was returned with the same problem... it's now in the trash. Read the return policy. Samsung's support is terrible.

cheap

Upscaling doesn't add any quality that I can tell. Extremely long time to boot up. After about an hour, it started to fail and would no longer read a disk
