6/11 Toshiba SD3900 (Double Production)

Toshiba SD3900

Progressive-scan output; solid 3:2 pull-down detection on filmed material; six zoom modes; improved MP3 and photo playback.

Doesn't play Enhanced CDs; awful remote; 3:2 pull-down sometimes engages during 30fps video.

While it delivers serviceable performance, the SD3900 is bested by other similarly affordable prog-scan DVD players.

Listen to the choir sing baby!!!

Ok, so, if you have read my review on the Pioneer DV-340, you will see that I had to go out and buy another DVD player. It was not in my budget to buy the "latest and greatest" because I had *just* bought a DVD player already. However, since the ...

Has a few problems not obvious until you owned it a while

This is not a bad unit in that it was easy to set up. It has a nice number of features, and it does what it's supposed to do... play DVD's... well sort of. I found this unit had a few annoying short-comings that showed up after owning the unit for a ...

Versatile, but music lovers should stay away

The Toshiba SD-3900 is an inexpensive progressive-scan DVD player that plays almost every format of popular media except enhanced music CDs. Compatibility I bought the Toshiba SD-3900 because it was versatile, but also inexpensive - under $100 at m ...

Toshiba SD-3900 DVD

I Just bought the Toshiba SD-3900 at my local Best Buy. I am upgrading from a Panasonic RV32. I am not utilizing the progressive scan output, as I do not have an HDTV yet. The DVD player is easily hooked up out of the box. The set-up menu required a...
