Amazed with DVD upconversion

The upconversion using HDMI on my 62" Toshiba DLP looks amazing.

It cuts top and bottom of fullscreen movies to make them fit the 16x9 size, looks good doing it though.

Horrible DivX Support

Looks pretty good when playing most DVDs on a HD tv via the HDMI connection.

Looks good when it works, but doesn't always work well

Picture looks great when it is working correctly and you are on an HD device.

Intermittently will just freeze during playback of DVD.

Horrible

Don't waste your money.

When it worked it was great

Piece of junk quit working after about 6 months.. put in a disc, any disc, and it says "no disc" on the screen

Good Divx support, progressive scan.

Several movies freeze up or refuse to play altogether.

Not so great in the long run

I tried several movies from different movie studios (originally thought it was limited to Sony titles) but some will freeze up and the only way to continue on is to power the unit on and off. It took me 3 hours to view a 1 hour and 40 min. movie! So...

Good Divx support, progressive scan

Several movies freeze up or refuse to play altogether. Sadly, it took approx 2 1/2 months for me to figure this out. On the bright side, my credit card has protection for this kind of stuff
