This pricy Caso SousVide Center isn't as precise as you'd think

 

You can get a decent meal out of the Caso SousVide Center, but it is clumsier and less exact than many of its immersion-model counterparts.

Caso's SousVide Center SV1000 effectively standardizes cooking results and its built-in vacuum sealer works.

The water temperature regularly strayed 2 to 3 degrees from the set target. At $499.95 (about £470 in the UK), this machine doesn't come cheap.

The Caso SousVide Center SV1000 delivers consistent enough results, but I wouldn't say it's worth the price -- unless you're cooking sous vide on a regular basis. Even then, there are better water bath options out there.
