The Garmin GTU 10 is a good tool for tracking and finding lost things, but its positioning accuracy is dependent on the geography around it and the frequency of its reporting.

Very accurate, I was worried that the device ewouldn't get a mobile network signal to let me know where it was, but seems to have worked everywhere I have been so far, even when our family mobiles don't work.

Needs to be strapped to my Beagle's harness, a bit too cumbersome to put on his collar. The iPhone app is great, just that if you don't have a network connection, you can't get the location info, it will work over wifi though, even if you don't have...

Works as advertised with one major exception.

That major exception is it cannot be used on holiday as it is tied the country network you buy it in. Not advertised and not written anywhere but don't expect to use abroad.

Must remember to switch on outdoors otherwise it switches off, something you quickly learn after your dog is off in the woods.
