Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT GPS receiver

This new Nuvi--the top of Garmin's Advanced Series of navigation devices--features not only more polished graphics, but much more user customization of the map screen, the addition of "apps," and a major overhaul of how the settings menus are...

The Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT 's updated interface makes searching for destinations and navigation both faster and more precise. Garmin's truly hands-free voice command system is one of the best in the portable navigation business. Lifetime map and traffic...

The Bluetooth connection doesn't sync with a phone's address book. Slow map rendering hinders overall performance.

With its improved interface, the Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT (Advanced Series) is as easy to use as earlier models, while offering a good blend of advanced features at a reasonable price.

Garmin Nuvi Advanced review: Garmin Nuvi Advanced

In my review of the Garmin Nuvi 50 (Essential Series), I stated that Garmin's interface for its entry-level portable navigation devices hasn't changed much over the last decade. So color me surprised when, upon booting up the Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT, I was...

Garmin nuvi 2595LMT

The Garmin nüvi 2595LMT is the top of the line model in Garmin's 2012 nuvi Advanced series line. One of the more significant refreshes in recent years, the Advanced series adds several new customization options, improved search functionality and Exit...

5” screen ; Strong customization options ; Exit services ; Lifetime map updates included ; Lifetime traffic ; Excellent Bluetooth sound quality ; POIs can be displayed on the map ; Offers several choices of routes ; Excellent Bluetooth sound quality ;...

Traffic is ad-supported and is beginning to get more intrusive with coupon icons appearing on the map screen when moving ; No powered mount

Highly recommended. Even with my love of powered mounts (missing here), the nuvi Advanced series rocks. New (and very useful) customization options, exit services and other strong features will tempt many nuvi owners to upgrade. It looks like Garmin...

"GPS works well, but advanced features underwhelming."

Use for GPS, but don't count on the other features much.

-Really does a nice job of routing to destinations.

-POIs not real-time as are those on cellphones.

"For the money you'll pay and what you get GREAT!!!"

Yea very happy with it , cant expect a 200$ gadget to do every single thing perfectly or have every address in the country which so far i had no issues with as other people do and it found some middle off nowhere places in 3 different states so far...

Works with out line of sight of sky ( with in reason ) , hands free great ,bluetooth , free life time map update and live traffic

mine broke on the 7th day however had no trouble getting new replacement not to mention Garmin went ABOVE & BEYOND to make up for the one that quit and gave me a free 100$ accessory for it as it was an inconvenience on my vacation thanks again

"Still Playing Up"

I had a 265wt that started acting up so I got the 2495LMT with HD thinking it would make my commute easier in LA. The mydashboard and interface is old fashioned and slow compared to other software products. The map view in traffic is like looking at...

Lighter, sharper picture, more responsive, good for directions.

Traffic is weak, less features, poor on line set up and interface.

"Failed every time."

I was disappointed from the first trip. It was 206 miles on a familiar route. At 50 miles we were instructed to exit the freeway, drive 23 miles, and re-enter the freeway. This would put us about 15 miles into the ocean. Later, the car icon drove out...

Clear screen.

Sometimes voice didn't work. No chime at turn. Often instructions came after a street or turn was already passed. Inaccurate routing.

"I put it to test next day of buying it, It failed badly"

I have used different GPS before (Including free GPS provided by Sumsung Galxay) and I have found all of them more reliable then Garmin.

Good Bluetooth connectivity, no issues synchronising phone address book and limited option voice command worked quite well.

Traffic update didn't work, I updated map, didnt show correct address.Worst come, while driving on single lane City Street (not on bridge), Garmin was hovering me over far off parallel running 4 lane freeway and was guiding me through accordingly.

"I also drive for a living."

I really like the 5" screen and the split screen views. Also, when needed, you can speak to the GPS and it will respond. It is a very nice feature. It does have to "learn" the way you talk and will take a little time to set it up properly. You do have...

Screen is very clear. The prompts are always clearly spoken and the split screen is most helpful when entering two sets of lanes.

None so far
