Garmin nuvi 775T review

 

The Garmin nüvi 775Tis one of Garmin's newest trans-Atlantic navigator, and their top of the line one as well. Pre-loaded with maps of the U.S., Canada and Europe, the 775T also offers lane assist, lifetime traffic and 3-D buildings.

A Good GPS device with a few issues

 

If you like to install the GPS in the upper left corner and hide the power cable (like I did), you are going to need a 12V power extension to be able to run the power cable semi-hidden by the left pillar and underneath the dashboard.

All the features work as promised and other than the couple of items mentioned in the CONS section, I'm extremely satisfied

Spoken direction in other languages (Spanish in my case) are difficult to understand and very laughable. I ended up switching to English. Touch screen mapping might be off or I need to calibrate it somehow. When you have to punch the keys to input an...

Nuvi 775T

 

Had a nav unit in my Armada (nissan), which is a fine piece, so compared it with that and for a price about half of it Garmin works pretty good no, I will say wonderful.

Lane Assist, Blue Tooth Connectivity, Maps of Europe and US, Ease of use, FM connectivity

Blue Tooth is not connectable on every phone, Sound is very low even at high volume, Searching without full address (just type a word and search for it, it may not work)

use this way more than expected

 

We were late to jump on the GPS bandwagon but now that we're there we love it. We use this GPS way more than I ever thought we would. Forget you google maps. I can find my way to a new doctors office without you. I do wish that there were easier ways...
