Lowrance iWay 250C

Though it's highly capable, the inexpensive iWay 250C takes a while to plan your route.

Highly configurable screen with overlay and POI category options. "My Trails" adds breadcrumb trail to the map. Large POI database. Direct point-to-point routing with optional maps.

Limited routing options. Can't directly search POIs in other cities or near destinations. Lengthy route-generation time.

Lowrance iWay 250c

It seems you can always count on Lowrance Electronics to break price barriers with each new automotive GPS product launch. The company did this with its iWay 500C and again with the iWay 350Cthe first full-featured 3.5-inch portable GPS to break the...

The iWay 250C is an outstanding value and a solid GPS, but is marred by lengthy route-generation times.

Review: Lowrance iWay 250C

The Lowrance iWay 250C was recently announced and has been doing well in the market as a value GPS that has a lot of nice features in a great flat form factor. While the unit is small it's not small on features, including a 3.5 inch touch screen,...

Lowrance iWAY 250C review

Its maps are on a 2 GB MMC/SD card, which has 40 MB free for MP3 files and photos. This isn't quite as nice as the iWAY 350C, which has a 4 GB hard drive for maps, freeing up the MMC/SD card for entertainment.

Great Performance

I have given two of these as gifts, and both recipients loved them. They each traveled to completely new to them large cities and were able to navigate easily through unfamiliar territory. Poi's are very helpful, and the recalculate features are very...

Great little auto GPS

I purchased this after my friends experience with the much higher priced Lowrance. I am very impressed with its quickness to locate satellites and recalculate new routes. I've used this to locate a small church in the Vermont countryside on a dirt road...

No comparison to Garmin

I returned this item becuase it was not user friendly, took way to long to register where I was and was no comparison the the Garmin I had also purchased to compare the two. Go with Garmin.

Review of the 250C

I found the 250C to be very helpful and easy to use. The vocal instructions were sufficiently before the indicated action to allow traffic moves. The only question I had was about the shortest route. It did not always choose what I knew to be the...
