Panasonic CN-GP50U Strada Portable Navigation System

The Strada's 5-inch screen impresses, but the unit's performance disappoints.

Text-to-speech. Includes maps for U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Multisegment routing.

Small POI database. Sluggish performance. Awkward destination/POI input. No video input. Data fields in map view are small and difficult to read.

Review of Panasonic Strada CN-GP50N satnav

The clear main map zooms into a junction when nearing it. Once way streets are shown with an arrow. The touch screen is a little slow to respond but it is easy to program. Windscreen cradle is hard to attach and bulky to carry. Road numbers are given...

Panasonic CN-GP50N

Accurate, detailed with clear instructions and the screen is cleary visible in sunny conditions. There is plenty of detail on the screen and it is not obstrusive. The full manual is downloaded with ease and, although needing careful thought, it is...

The only bad point is the need to agree to the conditions, whatever they may be, each time it is switched on but I am sure there is a way round this.
