Pharos Drive 140

Fancy widescreen and multimedia capabilities don't compensate for software missteps.

Large, 4-inch screen. Sensitive GPS receiver. Built-in players for music, pictures, and videos.

Can search only nearby POIs, not ones in other locations. Reflective screen shows fingerprints. Jerky playback of full screen WMV video files.

Pharos Drive GPS 140 - handheld - Windows Mobile 5.0 - 2 GB - 4 review: Pharos Drive GPS 140 - handheld - Windows Mobile 5.0 - 2 GB - 4

Pharos Drive GPS 140 - handheld - Windows Mobile 5.0 - 2 GB - 4

The Pharos Drive GPS 140 has a strong receiver and provides accurate directions. In addition, it offers integrated Bluetooth and multimedia features.

The GPS 140's interface can be confusing at times, and the unit was sluggish to perform tasks. There's also no support for text-to-speech functionality.

Though the Pharos Drive GPS 140 has an accurate receiver and good Bluetooth integration, it will require patience on your part as it suffers from somewhat sluggish performance and an unintuitive interface.
