Compact; touch screen; plays MP3 files; includes basic PDA tools.

Slow USB 1.1 port; no earbud headset; maps not preloaded.

Featuring a solid combination of hardware and mapping software, the Pharos EZ Road Pocket GPS Navigator is a good bet for those who want a highly portable GPS device.

The Pharos EZ Road Pocket GPS Navigator is a self-contained navigation system that thinks it's a PDA because of its Windows Mobile operating system.

You create trips based on Ostia navigation maps (included) and copy or sync them to an SD card (a 128MB card is included, and the EZ Road accepts up to a 512MB card). The EZ Road is wonderfully small, just 2.8 by 4.4 by 1.0 inches (HWD) and 0.3 pounds....
