Pioneer AVIC-F900BT

Pioneer's acclaimed AVIC range has been refreshed with the new AVIC-F900BT.

More affordable than the AVIC-HD3, SUNA compatibility, plenty of input sources, good display, easy navigation

Turn-by-turn directions mute other audio, no reversing camera packaged, limited video format support

For the driver who desires an extensive in-car entertainment experience, the AVIC-F900BT certainly delivers on most fronts. It is much more affordable than its predecessors, and a number of refinements make this the best AVIC device yet.

Pioneer AVIC-F900BT

The Pioneer AVIC-F900BT is a multi-sensor GPS, Entertainment and Communication System for your car, with satnav, DVD player and CD player.. It has a 5.8-inch touchscreen and front SD card slot. The satnav feature has 3D landmarks. Pioneer AVIC-F900BT...

Great Value

I love this unit. Having this in my 05 4Runner makes it better. I feel like im driving a brand new BMW now. This head unit has lots of features that you need to figure out over about a week of using it in your car. If your the type of person who gets...

This head unit has everything I wanted Nav, Bluetooth, MP3. The Nav works good not garmin good but close enough. I have the 700BT so I don't know about the MSN direct features but I would like to check them out. Bluetooth works great syncs with my...

Long boot time. You can speed that up by turning off VR catalog mode and starting it with the fm radio playing rather than I-Pod, USB, SD. The Voice command features are the worst! It never works right and it will crash the OS. I'm not in to voice...

Fail

This unit is awesome in concept. This version of the product truly does everything, but poorly. I say stay far away for another year or two. Were aren't there yet. This unit gets an F for FAIL!

The GPS is well integrated. DIVX, the must have feature. I love having access to the CD/DVD slot without folding the screen down. The SD slot is great and what really sold me on this unit. looks nice ie: girls like it

Screen looks bad compared to units from other vendors, Preamps outs are VERY noisy! Bass is sloppy. Sound quality is decidedly bad. This unit is not for music. I have not been able to hear the GPS voice or people on the phone - just no sound. There is...

Excellent Value

For the price this unit is being offered at, the few con's it does have are infinitely outweighed by the value. The system has never stopped working on me, and for $600, you will not find a better bluetooth\ipod\dvd\touchscreen navigation unit that's...

Outstanding feature list, bright display, simple menu navigation, and fantastic overall sound quality*(see cons). The unit fit's very well into double-din applications, very flush "factory" fit in my '08 Tacoma ; While it is not recommended as an...

To those who have decided to amplify with this system, and those who have expressed "noise" from your speakers, please note that while Pioneer has designed some excellent equipment, this particular model is well known for horribly noisy RCA outs,...

Eeh......

Not bad but not great......

Well the iPhone works well with it since it charges using usb rather than the firewire pinout on the dock connector.

Slow startup and basic functions. This thing has lag like a 14.4 modem.

Pioneer 5.8" GPS AV Receiver w/DVD Playback & Built-In Bluetooth Model AVIC-F900BT

Very nice head unit. Everything anyone can ask for.. HD radio/XM/Ipod/DVD playback/Nav system, etc.

Takes 30 - 45 secs to complete boot-up... not really that big of a deal. (Radio/XM/Ipod, etc works during boot)

Nearly perfect with 2.0 firmware!

Pioneer has actually fixed all the big issues with the latest 2.0 firmware. it's a great unit now and all the previous bugs have been fixed, things like long 1 minute plus boot up times, issues with the ipod touch, a lot of issues with blue tooth,...

Voice recognition for ipod music and calling out on the phone. This works very well. Built in Navigation that works ok. Bright screen, built in blue tooth, HD radio ready. Shows album art from IPod, 30 Second boot up time till music and map is...

It's too bad the boot up time can't be say 15 seconds, but it is windows CE so that probably isn't possible. -The blue tooth even with the 2.0 firmware is still buggy with the iphone 3g, especially with the control of calls with on screen status. it...

Overall good unit, still lots of bugs

Other issues that are not a big deal, nav boxes remain on screen that are not necessary when no route is in place. they really just need to increase the performance, buttons are a bit sluggish still at times, the sounds and system alerts have got to be...

Bluetooth hands free through speakers built in, voice recognition for ipod artists/playlists, and phone numbers/contacts.

The unit takes 1 - 2 minutes to boot up from turn of the key to full operation. Music from XM or FM radio takes 15-20 seconds to start. Music from Ipod takes 45 seconds Bluetooth 1 minute 45 s.
