Altec Lansing AHP712i

The reasonably priced AHP712i headphones from Altec Lansing offer good noise cancellation for travelers.

Good overall sound quality. Very good noise cancellation. Very comfortable, even for longer periods of time.

Bulky. Inadequate carrying bag.

Review: Altec Lansing AHP712i Headphones

Good, peaceful sound with comfortable ear pads

Very comfortable headphones. Easy to fold and store. Includes carry bag. Airline and stereo adapters included. Active Noise Reduction works well

Sound without ANR is less bright and tonally flat, but white noise may be distracting. The ANR controller is not removable. Need to carry spare AAA battery

In spite of its success, the iPod is not really a self-contained music solution. Like early Macs, iPods breed the desire for more accessories, cooler gear, and better sound. The included earbud-style headphones just do not do justice to good sound. I

Great HeadPhones

These headphones were the best noise-cancelling headphones $ can buy. Great sound quality and great noise-cancelling.

Performance for the Poor Man?

What are they?

Big sound. Decent noise-canceling. Relative bargain price

Rather bulky. A compromise when used for other than their intended purpose

Great sound low to high freq., good noise canceling.

The previous review titled "Great headphones for high noise environments" gives a very detailed and correct description of these headphones. I agree that the earpads do get warm if the ambient temperature is also warm. But they never got uncomfortable....

Excellent noise cancelling, wide range sound reproduction and great price

Inline power/volume module controls would be better if located in the earcups

Great headphones for high noise environments

Active Noise Canceling, or Active Noise reduction headphones are a remarkable technology. Using microphones, they listen to the "Noise" outside of the headphones, then generate that same noise except they invert the sound wave, effectively canceling...

A pleasure to listen to in high noise environments

Not suitable for lower noise environments where normal headphones would work fine

Interesting Product !

I bought these headphones, because they were the most affordable active noise reduction headphones available that enclosed around one's ears. There are four other ANR/ANC headphones in the same price range: CyberAcoustics, Philips, Sony, and...

Does filter out a range of surrounding noises. Great sounding headphones. Inexpensive

Active noise cancellation frequency range is rather narrow
