Beats Studio Pro review: new Beats for a spatial and lossless world

It's been six years since Beats launched its last set of wireless headphones, and the new Studio Pro have a lot of catching up to do.

Slick Beats design Comfy, secure fit Clear and balanced sound Head-tracked spatial audio Lossless USB audio Easy and simple controls

No Bluetooth multipoint No hi-res codecs No wear sensors Head tracking doesn't work on Android

“You still pay a premium for the Beats brand, but the Studio Pro are worth it.”

Review: Beats Studio Pro

These noise-canceling headphones take on Apple's AirPods Max and Sony's WH-1000XM5, but they lack a few key features.

Excellent calling and noise canceling. Good sound quality. Natural-sounding transparency mode. USB-C plug-in for high-resolution audio. One-touch pairing for Apple and Android. Hands-free Siri. Head-tracking for spatial audio. Fantastic wireless range....

No auto-pause. No adjustable EQ. Multi-device pairing is limited to Google gear. Controls feel clunky. Tight fit might not work for all head sizes. Mid-tier battery life.

Beats Studio Pro Review

Delivers punchy bass with bright highs ; Comfortable fit ; Hi-res USB-C listening mode ; Premium accessories ; Supports spatial audio with head tracking

Overly expensive ; Purists won't like the sculpted sound ; Lacks adjustable EQ ; Average noise cancellation

The Beats Studio Pro headphones produce a pleasing mix of boosted lows and sculpted highs, but they don't cancel noise nearly as well as their top-tier price indicates.

Beats Studio Pro review: An icon revived and upgraded (for the most part)

Beats' latest noise-canceller is Apple's best headphone value

Top-notch sound and call quality ; Intuitive noise cancellation ; Personalized Spatial Audio with accurate head-tracking ; Lengthy battery life ; Solid multiplatform support (iOS/Android) ; Effective wired listening modes

Fragile design similar to the Studio 3 ; Still no touch controls ; Uncomfortable to wear after an hour of use

The $349 Beats Studio Pro deliver better audio, battery life, and compatibility than the AirPods Max, and for a lower price.

Beats Studio Pro Review: Out From Apple's Shadow - SlashGear

The Beats Studio Pro take their headphones game up a notch, stepping away from Apple just enough to be able to draw in connected devices of many sorts.

Balanced sound suits a wide range of musical styles ; Excellent battery life ; More connectivity options than most rivals

Active noise-cancellation lacks Apple's cleverest tricks ; No physical volume controls

Beats Studio Pro review: Headphones better than Airpods Max?

Our Beats Studio Pro review covers whether the feature-rich over-ear headphones are a strong contender to Sony and Apple's AirPods Max Beats Studio Pro reviewBottom LineApple's long-awaited Beats Studio Pro headphones are here to rival Bose and Sony's...

Portability ; Personalized spatial audio sounds fantastic ; Competitive ANC ; Good microphone quality ; Android support ; The included Auxiliary and USB-C cables can both be used for listening ; Good battery life + Fast charging

Tight fit gets uncomfortable ; Buttons are stiff ; No wear sensor for auto-playing, No equalizer for custom tuning ; Included app is very basic with minimal customization ; ANC picks up light wind ; No official IP water resistance rating

Beats Studio Pro is a feature-rich pair of headphones that offers impressive sound quality, spatial audio, great call quality, and powerful ANC.

Beats Studio Pro: So close to being my dream headphones

The latest release from Beats is the perfect middle-ground headphones for Android and Apple users, as their unique cooperation with Android and iOS is a nice touch.

Beats Studio Pro review: What I love and hate

If you don't mind narrow audio and superheated foam padding, the Beats Studio Pro offer some key feature upgrades on the older Beats Studio3 Wireless.

Ultimately, without better noise cancelation or better long-term comfort, and at this steep sticker price, the Studio Pro feel like a low note on Beats’ five-year-long upward trajectory.

Review: Beats Studio Pro bring solid ANC, but for $350 there are better options

The Beats Studio Pro are available for pre-order today and will be available at Apple stores starting tomorrow.

The ANC comes close to matching the performance of the Apple AirPods Max and the Sony WH-1000XM5, and Android users will be able to take advantage of easy multi-device switching.

Bass performance feels a little lacking and there's no adjustable EQ to remedy that. There's also no wear detection so your music or videos don't automatically pause when you take the headphones off.

The first new pair of wireless headphones from Apple's Beats brand in four years, featuring improved ANC, support for Spatial Audio, a built-in DAC used when the headphones are connected to a digital audio source over USB-C, and better compatibility...

Beats Studio Pro review: the same stylish design but not exceptional

The cans you want to love

Gorgeous looking ; Very easy to use ; Good sound quality

No multipoint for iOS ; No wear detection ; Tight fit

The Beats Studio Pro retain their compelling style and good looks, which will make you feel good about your choice of headphones. Until you realise how many key features they lack. They might sound good but these limitations might raise a few questions.
