Arriva Leo (Black) review: Arriva Leo (Black)

Arriva, the small Colorado outfit that makes those funky, wire-free headphones for the iPod Shuffle second and fourth generation, is now selling an intriguing--and sporty--set of in-ear Bluetooth stereo headphones that go by the name Leo.

The Arriva Leo is a relatively lightweight wireless Bluetooth headphone that fits securely on your head and is designed for sports activities (it's water- and sweat-resistant). It also has a built-in microphone making calls.

The "hard" earbuds won't be comfortable for all ears, and the battery life is shorter than we'd like.

If you like the round-the-head fit, the unique design of the Arriva Leo makes it worthy of consideration for joggers and other active listeners.

Reviews: Arriva Leo Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

Though we weren’t enthusiastic about the original Arriva Headphone System when we first saw it in late 2006, it was obvious that the Colorado-based company was trying to do something different—it had developed headphones for...

While Arriva?s Leo gets points for trying to create a simple wireless audio solution for active users, the company?s continued use of wavy wires and new adoption of old-fashioned earbuds both detract from what?s otherwise a good implementation of the...

Great for road cycling.

I tried 5 different wireless headsets and these were my favorite.

Lightweight, form fitting, easy controls, and no wires!

I did have some loss of connectivity at times but I attributed that to an older iPhone I had with overall poor Bluetooth.

"I expected more..."

I bought these to replace my Samsung bluetooth headset. they tended to hurt the tops of my ears after 1-1/2 hrs of continuous wear. I bought the Arriva Leo because they were rated very high for comfort and sound. If you're a runner or highly active in...

Comfortable once you get it fitted properly.

Loses shape. Signal drops often. Sound quality isn't as good as I expected.

"Great idea, needs a little work in execution."

I've used two different pairs of wired around the neck headphones for running - my favorite has been the Sennheiser PMX 680 Adidas Sports Behind-the-Neck Headphones, which fit great sound great, but have two shortcomings -- the wire, and the stupid...

Lightweight, good sound, unobtrusive.

They don't fit well, constant adjusting and tweaking fit, and even though the phone and headset are only 2 feet apart, the signal drops out if you turn your head the wrong way.

"I have been using Arriva products for years."

If you are going to sit around the house and listen to music, maybe while you cook or sleep I highly recommend these. Otherwise, pass. I can send you mine if you like, except they broke after the first couple of weeks.

They are black, have a nifty case and are light weight.

The ear buds don't fit right and pop out, they skip when you run, the sounds is terrible, and if you get them even a little wet they are ruined. The interface pretty well sucks too.

"Best headphones ever!"

Best headphones I've ever used. I've gone through headphones by Nixon, Skull Candy, Sony, Apple, Bose, etc, and these are my favorite pair by far. Syncing them with my phone was a piece of cake, and now I use it whenever I work out. The headphones...

Comfortable, stays on your head during any activity, durable, reasonable price, easy to use, stylish, and no wires!

Takes a little while to get the headphones sized to fit your head
