Review: Audio-Technica ATH-ANC27 Noise-cancelling Headphones

Today I am reviewing the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC27 QuietPoint active noise-canceling over-ear headphones. These headphones are Audio-Technica's first model to feature their 85% active noise-canceling technology.

Refurbed Audio-Technica noise cancelleng headphones

Newegg, products have always been good to me. What a company. All the employees have great attitudes. That's refreshing in this stinky world.

noise cancelling with or without recorded sound

I should have purchased more than one

Noise With Noise Cancelling On?

Very disapointed with this purchase, and I haven't decided if this is going back. The radio interference I get when the Noise Cancelling is turned on is more annoying than the noise outside that I am trying to cancel! I tried it on my computer to play...

Relatively inexpensive; comfortable

When I turn the Noise Cancelling on, I get a Chinese radio broadcast in the headphones. Not sure why ; The cord is a little short and flimsy and the first time I plugged it into my phone jack to listen to music, I only got sound out of one side. I have...

Fell apart

Dont buy if you travel a lot and need them for plane rides, they dont travel well.

Reasonably priced, lots of good reviews on newegg

Fell apart in about 3 months, literally. base is distorted when noise canceling is enabled. They are junk, wish I would have spent a little extra on a nicer pair

Great for Price!

If looking for a a decent priced pair of noise cancelling headphones, these will definitely do the trick!

First time using the Audio-Technica brand, but very impressed. Sound becomes very clear and does a great job drowning out most noise. Case and removable headphone cord has already came in handy a few times

The 'lock' headphones got tricky a few times, and if wasn't hooked up correctly, was only playing out of one ear ; When not using the noise cancelling feature, sounds seems to be dampened a little bit

Okay

Noise cancellation works fairly well with constant sounds like jet noise, but does not screen out changing sounds like talking. Most of the external sound reduction comes from the cushions.

Just finished putting them through their paces. Sound is very good as I write this. It is better than a cheap pair of Logitech USB ones I have , which lack the deep bass, and somewhat better than an old Radio Shack set of comparable price

If you set the bass too high with noise cancellation on, it apparently feeds back through the headset and distorts badly. Some distortion with booming bass without noise cancellation. If you listen to real rocking bass, these headphones are not for you

yay

Some people say the bass is lacking, i think they didn't plug in the jack ll the way. When I first hooked up these headphones the sound was bad then I pushed in the jack all the way and it was awesome, plenty of base and clarity.

Makes my noisy as poop computer quite

Okay

Great quality, and it really does block outside sound. But I've used cheaper headphones without noise cancellation that sound better purely for the fact that they have more bass. I'm not some bass junky that needs my ears blown out either. I'm...

Dampers outside noise ; Good quality ; Comfy

Short cord. Not a problem for me, but I mean, it's like...1-2 feet long. I've never heard of a company providing a cord that short. Clearly for personal, MP3, computer and CD use. Nothing far ; Lacking Bass in my opinion. Music just doesn't have as...

Can't go wrong

Sound quality and overall quality is excellent. The noise cancelling feature works well and it s nice to be able to turn it on/off with a switch. The look is also better than expected. Lightweight and easy to adjust. Highly recommended. The price vs...
