The vast majority of people buying Beats headphones are doing it for the style or fashion rather than audio prowess. But for iPhone users who don’t actually know what bitrate their music is stored at, the Solo HD headphones conveniently sound great too.

The headphones shipped to me are extremely discolored, the hinges are damaged, and the sound quality is very poor. We already own another set of Beats Solo HD on-ear purchased from Best Buy and the headphones shipped to us do not even sound the same

Please do not even go for a refurbished unit from Newegg because they will tell you they don't test stuff they just ship it so your only recourse is to get a store credit. Believe me you do NOT want a replacement refurbished Beats Solo HD headphone....

People complains and question of the headphone's sound quality. I bet they haven't worked on equalizer, but then I guess, most of headphones don't require to do so. Just play around a little with the settings, and I bet you will love these.
