Beats Solo 4 review: a slew of upgrades keep this fan favorite current

Beats takes its wildly popular Solo on-ear wireless headphones to the next level with spatial and lossless audio.

Light and comfy Sleek design Clear and detailed sound USB-C lossless, hi-res audio Spatial audio with head tracking

Not for glasses wearers No ANC or Bluetooth Multipoint No EQ adjustments Boosted high frequencies

“They're the same Beats Solo you know, but with a slew of modern upgrades.”

Beats Solo 4

Beats' latest on-ear headphones lack noise canceling and auto pause, but they sound fantastic.

Clear and buttery smooth sound signature. Good instrumental separation. Quiet noise floor. One-touch pairing and Find My device tracking for Android and Apple. Hands-free Siri and Apple Spatial Audio support. Compact carrying case for easy packing....

No noise canceling or transparency mode. No water or dust resistance certification. No auto pause. Firm fit may be too tight for some. Pricey at full cost.

Beats Solo 4 Review

Beats Solo 4 wireless headphones deliver the same sculpted sound and seamless Apple device support as their predecessors while adding hands-free Siri, personalized spatial audio, and a few extra hours of battery life. They still don't support active...

Sculpted sound with accentuated bass and highs Hands-free Siri Wired audio via 3.5mm or USB-C

Expensive Lack noise cancellation No adjustable EQ

The Beats Solo 4 headphones produce satisfying sound and support hands-free Siri, though they leave out expected features at this price like active noise cancellation and adjustable EQ.

Beats Solo 4 review: playing both sides

Beats' on-ear headphones get an overdue refresh with a more comfortable design, longer battery life, and wired audio over both USB-C and the 3.5mm jack — but no ANC.

Very long battery life Supports both USB-C and 3.5mm wired audio More comfortable than previous Solo headphones

$200, but no active noise cancellation They’re not water- or sweat-resistant

They look like Beats headphones. They sound like Beats headphones. The battery life can stretch to a new high of 50 hours. Those things alone all but guarantee that the new Beats Solo 4 on-ear wireless headphones will prove just as successful as their...

Beats Solo 4 Review: USB-C And More Battery, But No Noise Cancelling Is A Miss - SlashGear

Beats Solo 4 bring the wireless headphones line up to speed with charging and battery life, but miss the mark when it comes to active noise cancellation (ANC).

Beats Solo 4 Wireless Headphones Review

Well-built and decently comfortable.

No IP rating.

The Beats Solo 4 Wireless are decent for sports and fitness. They're lightweight, stable on-ear, and have a decently comfortable fit. Using them wirelessly also helps reduce the chances of something snagging the headphones off your head. Plus, they...

Beats Solo 4 headphones make a great gift for audiophiles - especially for 50% off at Walmart

Nearly a decade later, the Beats Solo 4 offer a more comfortable form factor and design while retaining the line's most beloved characteristics. You can snag them for $100 of their list price, the lowest price we've seen.

The new Beats Solo 4 headphones deliver style and functionality for music lovers. If you weren't a fan of Beats' signature sound in the past, I challenge you to give the Solo 4 a try -- they might change your mind. A note about their fit: if on-ear...

Beats Solo 4 review: These Beats are out of tune

The Beats Solo 4 are well made and fashionable, but unfortunately offer fairly poor overall audio quality

On-headphone controls are simple and tactile ; 50 hours of battery life ; Attractive appearance ; Good build quality

Poor soundstage and acoustic instrumentals lack definition ; No active noise cancelation ; Missing features on Android ; Severely overpriced
