V1

The BlueAnt V1 offers one feature that no other Bluetooth headset I've tested does: integrated voice control. The $130 (as of December 1, 2008) BlueAnt comes with its own voice-controlled interface, called BlueGenie. This technology, created by a...

Voice-control feature is easy to master Handy clip for attaching to clothing

No-hook option feels flimsy Dull color

If you're in a noisy environment, you can turn on the Max voice-isolation setting (by tapping the call button once), which will help remove noise and allow you to keep talking. When I had my tunes blaring louder than usual, the person on the other end...

BlueAnt V1 Voice Control

BlueAnt's stylish V1 Voice Control is a fun Bluetooth headset with novel voice-enabled controls, but competing headsets edge it out in overall sound quality.

Stylish. Lightweight. Plenty of volume. Transparent voice-enabled interface.

On the expensive side. Slightly unnatural voice timbre. Voice-dialing feature is a little buggy.

BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Wireless Bluetooth Earphone review: BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Wireless Bluetooth Earphone

BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Wireless Bluetooth Earphone

The BlueAnt V1 is the world's first voice-controlled headset. It does not require voice recognition training and is easy to comprehend and use. The built-in capability to call GOOG-411 is a nice bonus. The audio quality is excellent, with top-notch...

The BlueAnt V1 doesn't feel secure without the ear hook, and the ear tip may fit a little too deep in the ear for some people. Its design is also a little on the boring side.

The BlueAnt V1 may not wow us designwise, but its voice controls and excellent audio quality more than make up for it.

BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Bluetooth Headset Review

Talk Bluetooth headsets and the two key names in the business are BlueAnt and Aliph. The two companies take it in turns to hold the top-spot, each trying to outdo the other with noise reduction, added features and general audio quality. For the past...

BlueAnt V1x Bluetooth headset review

The BlueAnt V1x is a moderately priced “basic” headset with a few tricks up its sleeve. Since many of us live in places that make talking on the phone or text illegal (we alrea...

Like more expensive BlueAnt headsets, the V1x uses voice controls for most of the functions. The V1x also has some proprietary digital signal-processing tech on board that is user adjustable to diminish outside noise.

BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Bluetooth Headset

Eliminates a lot of background noise, Built-in clip for attaching to clothing when not being used, 3 different charging options, Upgradeable firmware

Voice commands need a lot of work, Only includes ear buds that enter the ear

I had high hopes for BlueAnt’s V1 Voice Control Bluetooth headset. However, I was a bit disappointed with the results. I had problems with the voice command system on the V1 and ended up disabling them all together. The V1 does have upgradeable...

BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Headset

Cell phones have taken the world by storm and changed the face of how we do business. I can remember when I saw my first "portable" cell phone and it had to be carried around in a bag. That evolved to a Motorola "Brick" phone which my dad purchased for...

Very comfortable ; Good Noise Isolation DSP ; Good battery life ; Pairs with eight devices ; Attractive price ; Voice command reminders can be accessed by pressing the button then saying "What can I say

Voice recognition is not accurate in noisy environments

This is our third BlueAnt headset that we've looked at now and I'm glad to say it keeps getting better and better. The V1 ups the ante with voice control as well as better noise isolation and adds wind suppression to the mix. The voice control feature...
