Bose IE2

A unique design and secure fit help the Bose IE2 deliver powerful bass at a bargain price, but these earphones are not for the audiophile crowd.

Comfortable, surprisingly secure fit. Strong audio output with hearty bass response. Multiple eartips are bundled to ensure proper fit. Excellent value for price.

Earpieces may feel odd for some. Secure fit can make for an inaccurate stereo image.

Bose IE2

Improved sound; earphones fit securely and comfortably; protective carrying case included; "open" design has its appeal; pleasantly full bass.

Fit may not appeal to everyone, especially those who prefer noise-isolating earphones; treble is a little on the harsh side.

While we've heard earphones that sound better for the money, Bose has improved its in-ear headphones so they fit--and sound better--than its previous in-ear model.
