Corsair Void gaming headset review: Impressive wireless response and audio output

The Corsair Void RGB headphones complete the set of RGB gaming equipment from Corsair.

The Corsair Void is a great deal for lovers of wireless gaming headsets, and the customizable RGB lighting is an added bonus. With a price tag of Rs 10,999, it is definitely going to give a tough time to competition like HyperX and Roccat.

Corsair Void Stereo Review

Corsair's new headset comes in three different flavours and has an aluminium chassis

The design of the Void is very much an improvement on Corsair's preceding headset families – the aluminium shell makes them nice and sturdy and they're very comfortable to wear. At £60, the pricing is also decent, but it doesn't help Corsair (or any...

CAN NOT Recommend

I've tested this headset over the span of 4-5 months. Sometimes it worked great, however most of the time it doesn't. It's a gamble based off your OS, the current firmware/software revisions, and wireless interference. At the moment I'm back to using...

Wireless, Nice ergonomics & buttons, Easy charging, Software that seems to compliment the product

Very unreliable audio, cracking audio, distorted audio, short operating range (expect issues under 10 ft from the dongle)

Horrible product

I use a lot of other corsair products and they are all great! I wish that was the case with these headphones.

The headset fits great and was very comfortable. I did not experience them falling of my head easily. The headset looked and felt great, I was excited for them up until I tried installing them.

The driver/firmware for this product is down right atrocious. I couldnt get the headset to work for more than 1 day and it was a continuous battle to keep them working. The CUE software was a little difficult to use but not too bad, my biggest...

Top Notch Headset Despite my Personal Taste for the Fit

Over the past few years I've owned and gotten to test quite a few headsets. From true 5.1, to high end stereo, to Corsair's own Vengeance 2000 and 2100's. Where does the VOID fit in? That's a great question and I'm not sure how to answer it… I've had a...

- Excellent sound quality and convincing simulated 7.1 surround. Playing most modern (modern being the key word here) games and I found that I could easily locate the direction sounds were coming from. Making FPS games such as CS:GO much more fun as...

(continued from pros section) while I’m sure this is something that I can adjust to over a few more weeks of use I’m not enjoying the transition so far! - The volume control on the headset can also be used to adjust your preset equalizer settings. It’s...

My new best friend

I have been using the heck out of the white version of these headphones and, with a big head (hat size: 7 5/8), finding headphones that fit well and are comfortable over an extended period of time can be a challenge. These beauties met that need and...

Nice form with the way the mike is quite hefty (i.e. not flimsy), swings up almost flush with the headset and includes a silicone tie down. They have a comfortable fit for a big head, which can be tricky to find and the circumaural & speaker padding is...

Minor Con: I would like to have seen Corsair include a way for me to easily connect or clip the dongle to the headphones, to keep them together during travel.

Makes me miss my old car stereo

Another advantage is that I can turn them to max volume without any distortion unlike my old headset, which my old G930s were prone to at even low volume level. I do admit though max volume actually hurts my ears.. They also seem to be made better and...

Sounds good enough to remind me of my old car stereo (2 kicker solo baric running on a 850 watt amp with a kenwood eschelon head unit and a 200 watt 4 way amp for the output from my head unit on kicker full range to the other 4 speakers).... Better...

The only two cons I can give them is range, not sure if it is me or maybe neighbors but something is interfering with them to one end of the house, but the other side is good. maybe should have used bluetooth instead of 2.4 ghz? The second con is CUE,...

Best Gaming Headset I have ever owned.

I have had many headsets over the years, very few have ever been worthy of praise. (Sennheiser PC 350 was worthy of praise) This headset is the best gaming headset I have ever owned. I am coming off a 1st generation Razer Kraken which had decent sound...

The only thing I do not like about this headset is the GUI of the software, The Corsair Utility Engine. I don't feel that it is worth docking an egg for my complaints about it but I would like Corsair to take notice. The GUI for CUE is terrible. They...

Fail Product - YUK!

I've owned 2 set of Corsair's first corded headsets when they debuted. After that I needed 3 of their Vengeance 2000 wireless, all purchased from Newegg. These were all supreme products. Then comes the new VOID. Perfect name for this slug. Would never...

- Very comfortable - Cool Design - Strong. resilient construction

- super-overdesigned software, too many updates - Fiddle-Faddle ear pod controls, not ergonomic at all. Just a failed fumble design. - Installed ok at first now it just a real PIA product. - Boom does not raise for mute. You must fumble around the side...
