The Creative Aurvana Air is a beautiful looking and sounding set of headphones, but it's expensive and not suited to public transport.

Upmarket design ; Crystal-clear sound with deep bass ; Tangle-free cord

More expensive than its B&O doppelgangers ; A little flimsy-feeling ; Open design not suited to loud environments

The biggest problem with these 'phones isn't even the price. Or the performance. While they do share a family resemblance with cheaper models in the range (and we're talking around 30 bucks) they do have enough sophistication to make the outlay...
