Creative Digital HS-1200 Wireless Gaming Headset

Wireless USB gaming headset for PCs; microphone performs well; good for VoIP sessions; rechargeable; does a good job of blocking out outside noise.

Bundled software EQ and filters don't add much; sound quality is average; ear cups are a bit small; not Mac compatible.

The Creative HS-1200 wireless USB gaming headset does a good job with VoIP and games that require voice communication, but overall audio quality is lacking.

Creative's gaming headset offers sweet wireless performance but at a price.

Lastly, the noise cancelling. Have whiny kids/wife/mother/siblings/pets? The HS-1200 will block it all. Now only if they could make them invisible, it would have been perfect!

Creative HS-1200 Wireless

The headset takes on the world of wireless gaming sound hits a lot of strong spots (weight, comfort, ease of use, surround options with OpenAL), but still needs work in some areas and is not a good general-use replacement.

Comfortable fit, Simple, easy to use controls, Good battery life, Deals well with standard amounts of interference, Rechargeable battery

Poor documentation, Microphone levels are fairly low, Master volume not designed for a headset, Not a good general-use product, Surround works better with OpenAL games

Wireless really is one of the buzz-words in the business at the moment. It seems like anything wireless is cool nowadays. Sure wireless hardware will cut down on the cable-clutter that we often find on our desks, but will this come without a cost?

Wireless, Clear sounds, Surround effects in OpenAL and ALchemy supported games

Great for use in games and when using speech recognition That make all the difference when you are doing a report.

battery should be at least a 600 mAh and not 450 mAh other then that it still rocks.

"broke after 4 months, uncomfortable and annoying"

piece of junk, don't buy

sound quality is decent, wireless worked well enough

one side stopped working after 4 months, I was not able to use it on my main computer due to excessive static. When the headphones run low the warning signal is abhorrent - a sound that should be reserved for fire alarms and torture.
