Creative Zen Aurvana

Creative aims for your ear canal with the new Zen Aurvana noise-isolating earphones.

Compact and lightweight. Very good noise isolation. Very good overall sound quality.

You hear cable thump and wind whistling when you're walking around.

Creative Zen Aurvana review

With in-ear headphones all the rage now, it didn't surprise us when audio-centric Creative Labs joined the fun with the launch of its own Zen Aurvana in-ear earphones. Already available in Asia a few weeks before their U.S. launch, the $99 "anti-iPod...

Lightweight, durable, and low profile; comfortable fit; good noise-blocking capability and balanced clean sound.

Should come with foam earbud option and 1/4" adapter jack

If you need lightweight and quality in-ear earphones for under $100, check out the Creative Aurvanas, which match up quite well against the Shure E2cs.

Creative Zen Aurvana

Creative has pulled together a very nice audio package here. The Aurvana's are a terrific-sounding set of headphones that deliver crisp, well-defined audio across the sonic spectrum.

Great sound; nice extras; comfortable

Tendency to be overwhelmed by heavy bass

Creative was the only company thoughtful enough to provide an adapter for plugging into airline sound systems, and they earn kudos for their hard-shell carrying case—the best-designed of the bunch.

Creative Zen Aurvana In-Ear headphones

You've got your new iPod or MP3 player, loaded up some songs and embraced the digital life. Trouble is, it probably isn't sounding as good as you hoped. Before you box up your Creative Zen Vision or your SanDisk Sansa you might want to check to see if...

Styling, blocks out ambient noise, better than the 'phones you get in the box of your MP3 player

Trouble reproducing bass, carry case doesn't carry everything

We have mixed feelings about the Aurvanas, on the surface they look the part, as well as clearly being an obvious improvement on anything you will get in the box. However we were expecting better performance for the price compared to the competition...

Creative Zen Aurvana

Sound quality is generally impressive. Bass response is extremely potent, although at higher volumes they occasionally distort. They also lack the separation and tonal clarity to compete with the best in the group. The ?ber-powerful audio output makes...

Well designed, powerful output

Others offer superior audio performance, earbuds tend to pop out

Not as good as their entry level earphones

Just purchase the EP 630, no earphones come close to that in regards to sound quality and price. Just simply not happy with this purchase. If I knew sound would degrade over this supposedly "upgrade", I would've never purchased it.

Great noise isolation ; Comes with a carrying kit ; 6 pairs of different sized replacement rubber fittings

Sound not as good as their entry level EP 630 ; Bass is non existent

Superb Headphones

The carry case is somewhat cumbersome to constantly wrap them up and take out, I tend to not ever use it except to prop my laptop up with. Headphones are either around my neck, or coiled up in my shirt pocket. There ARE better headphones, IF you want...

Excellent audio quality, you can FEEL the bass from music ; Comfortable, you don't even feel them after a while ; Sound output is much, much higher than other headphones, my Zen Vision M with other headphones needs to be at 18-20 volume to even hear...

Cord isn't quite long enough for my liking, but it's just about right ; Cord again, could be made with thicker rubber or poly coating, as if you don't take care of these they can get pinched. I had one get ruined by my car's seat belt when it locked...
